Colin Fry has spent the past two decades as a devoted arborist in Tasmania, and has been director of the Tasmanian Arboriculture Group since its inception in 2014. He is passionate about leading a purpose-led organisation that is a vessel for change, and investing in the personal and professional growth of his employees through arboriculture.
Rogan McPhie is the embodiment of integrity. His role is to set an example through positive actions and behaviours to our employees and clients. Rogan is responsible for our operational systems and crew training.
Abby is an experienced professional with 25+ years in engineering and environmental consultancy. Hunter is a fully qualified Cert III Arborist and Crew Leader. With strong technical skills and expertise as a machine operator, he oversees the safety and quality of work on site. Mackenzie is a Commercial Client Manager at Tasmanian Tree Care, responsible for managing tree assets for commercial and residential clients to ensure their long-term health and amenity. Holding a Bachelor of Natural Environment and Wilderness Studies and a Cert III in Arboriculture, he brings experience from both public and private sectors. Mackenzie values the role of trees in enhancing communities and the environment.
With 18 years in arboriculture, James is Systems Manager at Tasmanian Tree Care. Drawing on experience as a Climbing Arborist and Crew Leader, he develops systems to streamline operations, manages equipment compliance, and integrates technology to enhance efficiency. James combines practical expertise with innovation, driving operational excellence, sustainable practices, and professional growth within the industry.
Marcio is an experienced content creator and video editor with a passion for storytelling. He captures the essence of arboriculture through engaging visuals and compelling narratives. With a keen eye for detail and a talent for showcasing unique perspectives, he brings the world of trees and conservation to life across digital platforms.
With a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Botany from the University of Tasmania, Daniel researched plant water use in Tasmania’s tall tree canopies before beginning an arboriculture apprenticeship. Inspired by both climbing and science, he now combines academic knowledge with hands-on tree care. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the arboriculture industry.
Gabriel spent three years working in the Midlands, UK, before moving to Australia and eventually joining Tasmanian Tree Care in Tasmania. Passionate about climbing, he thrives among Tasmania’s towering gum trees. Gabriel values teamwork and enjoys bringing people together to achieve shared goals while growing his skills in arboriculture.

Taylor’s background in rock climbing led her to study Outdoor Education before exploring the construction industry and specialising in Rope Access, where she achieved Level 3 certification. Seeking to combine her passion for climbing with nature, she began an apprenticeship in arboriculture. Taylor is thriving in the industry, learning every day and building a career that unites skill, adventure, and trees.
With six years’ experience building and instructing on ziplines and aerial courses, Nico transitioned into arboriculture in Argentina during COVID, learning through hands-on work and collaboration with climbers. His passion for rock climbing and nature made the shift natural. After moving to Australia, Nico values the professionalism around him and is eager to keep learning and growing in the industry.
